Days 34-36

On the Island 

So we came to spend two days on the Island. We arrived on the evening of the old year and found the perfect spot on the leeward side of the Island where we would be able to light a fire and celebrate into the new year....which turned out to be not too late as none of the team ever changed their watches to local time as we travelled. It was a good night with a big fire. We were alone on the island. We sat on the beach - watching the new moon as it sank behind the horizon. It is a new year.
